Who we are
A product company that still ships like a studio.
The practice opened in 2011 as Koncepto Costa Rica — a design and engineering studio that kept getting asked to hold the same seams: the event that needed a stream, the brand that needed a site, the store that did not know where the driver was.
In 2024 the studio took the name Gellum. Gel is the medium that holds a structure without becoming the structure. We build the layer that keeps commerce, communications, and infrastructure from coming apart.

Our journey
From Koncepto Costa Rica to Gellum.
2012
The practice is founded as Koncepto Costa Rica — a design and dev studio in Costa Rica.
2012
Work with APM Terminals in Costa Rica and the Netherlands: event streaming, website design, and the digital magazine Un Cambio for TCM (Terminal de Contenedores Moín).
2014
Work with Craisa on its concession brands Case IH and CASE CE, including a virtual showroom for the lines.
2016
Work with Little Sonzing Productions on the graphic identity for the television program Conectados con Thelma Darkings — brand, website, and streaming on digital platforms.
2018
Work with TopHard Esports: design, development, and deployment of owned platforms — a competitions and statistics site, a tournament platform, and TopHard Ticketing for ticket sales and monetization.
2020
The first WooCommerce work hardens into products: location on the order, and hours the cart cannot ignore.
2022
Email launches so transactional mail no longer depends on a rented inbox. The stack sits with AWS as a partner, and DigiCert licensing covers public certificates.
2023
SUTEL licensing is in place for regulated telecommunications work in Costa Rica.
2024
Koncepto Costa Rica takes the name Gellum. Host becomes the production home for the stores and apps we already design and build. Stripe is added so clients in the United States and other countries can pay on the same rails.
2026
The ecosystem is published as one company: plugins, platforms, studio, and forge — work that holds.
